Towards Cordoba the ground/soil was almost white. The trees looked well tended - no weeds (probably too hot for weeds!). I didn't see anyone working in the groves the whole trip; probably because it was in the middle of the day.

Bus to Cordoba...
I had no idea what the countryside between Granada and Cordoba would be like, other than dry. What I was not prepared for was the fact that almost the entire two and a half hour journey was through olive groves. This is what I could see from the air as we landed in Granada and I guessed olives though I wasn't sure. But the views from the moving bus looked like this (click on an image to enlarge)...

Now that is where olives should be grown .. not in canterbury!
